Hot Tub Water Care Tips

Hot Tub Tips

1. Rinse filters weekly.
2. Add 1 oz of Control every time make-up water is added and then rinse the cartridge several times within the first 24 hours.
3. Drain hot tub every 3 to 4 months.
4. Soak filters in Filter Renu. The longer you soak the filter the better resaults you will see. Try to soak it for at least an hour or two.
5. Rinse the filter then follow the start-up steps below.

Instructions for hot strat-up using Nature 2

1. Wipe down spa shell with diluted Control of other spa cleaner if sides have a residue. Otherwise rinse down with water.
2. Fill spa thru filter area.
3. Add 1 oz of Control & operate spa for 24 hours. Rinse cartridge serveral times this first day.
4. On day 2 insert Nature 2 cartridge. Test water for PH and Alkalinity and begin to adjust to the ideal reading.
5. Start using H2O Oxidizer (MPS) each time the spa is used or as needed to keep and ideal MPS reading on the test strip.
6. Check water daily until PH & Alkalinity reach ideal level.
7. After 1st week add 2 TBSP Granular Chlorine. Then every 2 weeks add 2 TBSP of Granular Chlorine.
8. Add 1 oz of Control every time make-up water is added and then rinse the cartridge several times within the first 24 hours.
9. Rinse filters weekly.
10. Drain hot tub every 3 to 4 months.
11. Soak filters in Filter Renu. The longer you soak the filter the better resaults you will see. Try to soak it for at least an hour or two.
12. Rinse the filter then start from the begining of these steps.

Instructions for hot tub strat-up using Bromine or Chlorine

4. On day 2 add Bromine or Chlorine. Test water for PH and Alkalinity and begin to adjust to the ideal reading.
5. Start using H2O Oxidizer (MPS) each time the spa is used but not more than once in a 24 hour period.
6. Check water daily until PH & Alkalinity reach ideal level.
7. Adjust Bromine or Chlorine as needed according to test.
