Pool Opening Information

Chemicals You Will Need

• Suspend-All (1 quart per 20,000 gallons)
• Algaecide (1 quart per 20,000 gallons)
• Oxidizer Shock (1 pound per 10,000 gallons)
• Granular Chlorine (1 pound per 10,000 gallons)

Steps to Open Your Pool

1. Drain off winter cover.
2. Add makeup water under winter cover. This will make removing the cover easier to remove.
3. Remove cover and water bags. Then wash and store.
4. Add 1 quart of Suspend-All Per 20,000 gallons of water
5. Add 1 quart of Algaecide per 20,000 gallons of water.
6. Install light, ladder, dive board and other accessories.
7. Start pump and filter (make sure the filter has been cleaned)
8. Filter water for 24 hours.
9. Add 1 pound of granular Chlorine per 10,000 gallons of water.
10. Add 1 pound of Oxidizer shock per 10,000 gallons of water.
11. Vacuum pool and backwash filter as needed.
12. Continue filtering and after 6 to 8 hours test and adjust PH, Alkalinity and stabilizer.
13. We will test your water for FREE so bring in a water sample if your are unsure and we will help you get it right.
14. Once water is clear for 24 - 48 hours begin your regular sanitizer routine and filtering routine.
